Yes grub, couldn’t see that setting but have set it load boot block so at least hopefully I can jump in and select. Will test later.
Look for GRUB_DEFAULT=saved GRUB_SAVEDEFAULT=true in /etc/default/grub
Whereas I’d assumed a dual boot loader would look something like this:-
