How is it calculated?
The most common formula divides total engagements (likes, comments, shares, saves) by your follower count, then multiplies by 100. You can also calculate it by reach or impressions for a different perspective.
What's a good engagement rate?
It varies by platform. On Instagram, 1-3% is average, 3-6% is good, and above 6% is excellent. Twitter averages around 0.5-1%. LinkedIn typically sees 2-3% for good content. TikTok tends to have higher rates, often 3-9%.
