How to connect SocialBu to ChatGPT

Install the SocialBu plugin and authorize your SocialBu account. You can use the directory listing without adding a custom MCP server.

New to SocialBu? Start your free trial and connect your social profiles first. Available actions depend on your SocialBu plan, permissions, network, and account type.

  1. Add the SocialBu plugin

    Open the listing in ChatGPT and install SocialBu. Plugin availability depends on your ChatGPT account and workspace settings.

  2. Connect your SocialBu account

    Sign in to SocialBu and approve the connection when prompted. If you haven't connected your social profiles yet, add them in SocialBu first.

  3. Start a new chat

    Choose SocialBu and ask: “Show my connected accounts and next week's scheduled posts.”

Connect Claude and other MCP clients

For Claude, Cursor, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, Windsurf, or another compatible client, add this remote MCP server URL and authorize your SocialBu account.

Which social networks can I manage?

Use your connected Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts, LinkedIn profiles and Pages, and X accounts. SocialBu also supports TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, Mastodon, Reddit, and Google Business Profile.

Ask your assistant to list your connected accounts and supported post options before creating a post. Available formats, media requirements, and analytics vary by network and account type.

Can I review posts before they are published?

Yes. Ask the assistant to save a draft, then check the account, text, media, and publishing time in SocialBu's publishing calendar before scheduling. You can also create posts awaiting team approval when your permissions allow it. Specify your time zone when requesting a schedule.

Do I need a SocialBu subscription or an API key?

You need a SocialBu account with access to the features you want to use. Check the current plans and limits or start a free trial. The ChatGPT plugin and remote MCP connection use SocialBu sign-in and authorization, so you don't need to copy an API key. Your AI assistant's own plan and workspace settings also apply.

Can ChatGPT check my social media analytics?

Yes. Ask for top posts, account performance, or trends for a specified period. The plugin retrieves the analytics available in SocialBu for your connected accounts. Metrics depend on the network, account type, permissions, and data available for that period.
